This article about cowboy decor hopes to give you the knowledge you need, to feel that you have a firm grasp on the subject.

The Old West is a favorite theme for many people, who like to dress up in a Stetson and boots and hit the line dancing clubs. There is no reason why this fascination with America’s history cannot be indulged at home too and cowboy decor is becoming increasingly popular. Whether it is used for the home or workplace, a homely ranch type feeling is ideal for the cowboy or cowgirl at heart.

These decorating items are easily available, enabling the enthusiast to have a cowboy decor theme in just one room or throughout a building. There are a number of companies that sell western items for the home and clothing and accessories. The most popular motifs are cowboys, horses, cattle, brands, spurs, saddles and ropes. These images evoke a simpler time, of campfires, rodeos and driving herds across the range! Many hotels and holiday cabins employ this theme, especially in western resorts.

Ask yourself a few simple questions to determine if you fully understand the concepts that we have went over so far.

Everything in the home can be incorporated into cowboy decor. A room, furnished in wood and leather will benefit from finishing touches such as cowboy decor themed clocks, bookends and fireplace ornaments. Furniture can be enhanced by just the right doorknob and drawer pull. It is important that the choice of lighting sets the right tone, with the appropriate floor lamps, table lamps and lampshades. Even chandeliers can be given a cowboy theme.

Any bedroom should have a relaxing and cozy ambience. Western throw-overs and duvet sets help to achieve this. Children’s bedrooms can be made a fun place with scenes from the old west on wallpaper and rugs. The kitchen too can carry on a cowboy decor theme on glassware, dinnerware, coasters, cruet sets, napkin rings and wine racks. Bathroom items with western motifs are available too, on towel bars, vanity sets, toilet seats, medicine cabinets, towel sets and shower curtains.

The walls can be decorated with prints of typical western scenes or metal signs, declaring welcoming sentiments such as howdy! The image of John Wayne, as he appeared in his movie, True Grit is also popular. The area outside the home can also be given the cowboy decor treatment with a fire pit, boot scraper, weather vane and door knockers.

In addition to home decor items, there is a range of western themed leather purses, handbags, wallets and briefcases. Cowboy images also appear on cell phone holders and hand luggage. All these products won’t improve the line dancing but they will bring heaps of fun.

Chili Pepper Decor

Filed under: Home Decoration — admin @ 6:32 pm

Make a list of what you want to know, what you need to know, and what you already know about decorating with chili pepper.

Red is a great color for just about any kitchen space. The color is associated with energy and well-being and it actually stimulates that appetite. If you want to incorporate this hot color into your interior decorating ideas, you might want to consider chili pepper decor for your space.

The bright red pepper is lovely to see in a kitchen space. There is something so appealing about the design that I couldn’t resist adopting it into my own home. The chili pepper decor didn’t take over the kitchen at first. The process was pretty gradual. Following are some supplies that led to a room filled with this spicy theme.

Ask yourself a few simple questions to determine if you fully understand the concepts that we have went over so far.

The first item I received in this decorative kitchen theme was a pair of salt and pepper shakers. They are bright, bright red and shaped like chili peppers. I love the high gloss finish and the deep red color. Since these items were in plain sight all day long I thought about using a chili pepper decor motif for the room.

I went back-and-forth on this decision because I was pretty happy with my black and white design that I had before. However, the hot red shakers really caught my eye each and every time I entered the room. They made me want to cook and they made me want to consider the chili pepper decor a little more seriously.

My friends were also attracted to the idea of the chili pepper decor idea for my kitchen. The person who bought the shakers probably had no idea that the gift would lead to a collection of items that fill the room with vibrant color. She also didn’t know that it would lead to other similar gifts from others.

My sister bought me a pitcher that is just perfect for the chili pepper decor motif. She figured that it would go well with the shakers that we all love so much. That present was followed by a whole ensemble of placemats, napkins and curtains all suiting the chili pepper decor. My husband bought these.

I love the look in my kitchen and I think that the chili pepper decor goes perfectly with the overall black and white room. It really adds character and color to the space. It looks as if the entire room was renovated but all that was added was a few bright, vibrant items that set the whole tone in the area.
