Ever Considered Changing Dresser
If you want to save money on your nursery, you should consider getting a changing dresser. This means you won’t have to buy a dresser and a changing table separately, and that can save you up a hundred dollars or more. A good one is one that will be a changing table while you need one, but will easily convert to a dresser alone when the time comes. Many people like to do this for reasons other than money. It is really convenient, and it is one less piece of furniture that they have to worry about storing or getting rid of.
There are two kinds of changing dresser that I can think of. One is the changing table that has drawers on the bottom of it. They are open drawers, and are more like baskets than they are sliding dresser drawers that close when you push them in. These are less expensive and are often used for things other than clothing. There is then the expensive changing dresser that looks like a regular dresser underneath, but the top has a changing pad that can be removed when you are done with it.
I prefer the second type of changing dresser. Even thought it is more money to buy this kind, I think they are the best idea in the long run. The pad can be long gone and you still have a great dresser for your child to use. I have such a changing dresser in my daughter’s room, though I have not used it for a changing table for a very long time. You would never know it was a changing table at one time when you look at it because it looks just like a dresser.
You can find a good changing dresser where you buy most of the furniture you need for your nursery. You may also find a good one at a yard sale, but you should make sure it is in good condition before you buy it. You don’t want to buy a changing dresser that will collapse or fall over when your baby is on top of it. You may also want to make sure that you have one that does not have lead paint on it, as this is dangerous to your baby. Along the same lines, if you are done with yours and want to sell it, consider throwing it out if you think it might be unsafe.
